Our Story
Traditional European craftsmanship meets Middle Tennessee hardwoods.
The Workshop
Based in Spring Hill, Tennessee, Heritage Handmade was founded on the belief that furniture should be more than just functional — it should be a legacy. We specialize in custom European-inspired pieces, utilizing techniques passed down through generations.
Every piece that leaves our workshop is built to order. We don't have a catalog of mass-produced items; instead, we work closely with each client to design and build furniture that fits their specific space, style, and needs.
From hand-selected white oak and walnut to custom-mixed stains and finishes, we prioritize quality at every step of the process.
Meet the Maker
Heritage Handmade is led by Val, a master carpenter with a straightforward approach to custom woodwork. He has built a quiet reputation for precision over the years, letting the durability and fit of his installations speak for themselves.
That reputation for reliability has led to some unique projects and opportunities. In this photo, Val and his son Vlad were on their way to a jobsite in Southern Florida. A Tennessee-based builder, familiar with Val’s work, arranged for them to be flown down specifically to ensure the installation of a custom kitchen was handled with a specialist’s touch.
The Process
We start with your vision. Whether it's a rough sketch or a detailed plan, we'll discuss dimensions, wood species, and finishes to ensure the final piece is exactly what you imagined.
Using traditional joinery and modern precision, we build your piece from the ground up. Every joint is carefully fitted, and every surface is hand-sanded to perfection.
The final step is the finish. We apply custom stains and durable topcoats by hand to protect the wood and highlight its natural beauty before delivering it to your home.
